i've posted my first short story in years. its an entry in a short story contest. i hope it does well.

Panel 1. Late afternoon. A large office with a chair and desk flanked by two windows. Sunlight peaks through the blinds. There are bookshelves, filled with scrolls and nick knacks and also books, on both left and right walls.
CAP 1: In another part of the city.
Panel 2. A door opens as a tall man with blond-highlighted black hair wearily enters the room. He is wearing a dark suit with the jacket in his other hand and his shirt is unbuttoned. His tie is loose.
MAN (sighs): Good to be home.
VOICE (behind man): You said it!

Panel 2. A man walks through a garden filled with exotic and beautiful flowers, surrounded by an enormous palace. He has white hair bound into a tail down his back by a golden hairclip. He is smiling contentedly in his dark silk short sleeve shirt and pantaloons. A shimmering robe flutters in the breeze behind him.

CAP: Five years ago. Deep within the Himalaya Mountains...
Panel 2. An overview of a large cave where a professor and his young assistant are examining what appears to be an ancient shrine. Sanskrit writing is covers the walls and there is a man-sized statue sitting on a dais against the back of the cave wall. It has four arms and faces with a crown atop the head. Torches light the room.
